Relaxing laws against marijuana is much more popular among the American public than even services like Uber and Airbnb, a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey reveals.

COLUMBUS — While campaigning for legal pot through Issue 3, ResponsibleOhio took steps Tuesday to pass a law that would allow Ohioans with marijuana convictions to go to court to get their records expunged.

Despite an increasing number of Americans who do not view marijuana use as a crime, pot arrests across the United States increased last year for the first time since 2009, proponents of the drug's legalization said on Monday.

The Drug Enforcement Administration spent $960,000 to destroy marijuana plants in that state in 2014 as part of its "Cannabis Eradication Program," according to a recent report by NBC affiliate KGW in Portland, Ore.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Just two months after Minnesota launched its medical marijuana program, some patients turned off by high costs say they are back to buying the drug illegally because it's the only way they can afford it.
